Clamshell Beach Press is committed to bringing thought-leading and affordable operations and supply chain management materials to managers, students, and professors around the world. Clamshell Beach Press was created by a professor who was frustrated with large publishing firms that charged very high prices (especially for students). Also, many of these firms required over a year to bring new materials to market, provided little in the way of on-line materials, and offered minuscule margins to authors.

Clamshell Beach Press plans to add more titles over time and win a share of both the academic and practitioner markets for thought-leading materials related to operations management, particularly in the areas of supply chain management, lean, process improvement, and quality management.
